Troubleshooting methods for centrifugal pumps
1. After startup, there is no water outlet: there is air in the pump or air accumulation in the inlet pipe, or the bottom valve is not tightly closed, the water supply is insufficient, the vacuum pump packing is severely leaking, and the gate valve or flap valve is not tightly closed.
Exclusion: Remove debris, replace damaged rubber pads, and change the direction of the valve plate; Press or replace with new packing, close the gate valve or flap valve; Increase the amount of injection until there is no bubbling at the vent plug; Replace cracked pipes; Reduce the head and press the nozzle of the water pump 0.5 meters underwater.
2. When starting, the pump does not rotate: the packing is too tight or the impeller is blocked by debris between the pump body, or the pump shaft, bearings, and leakage reducing ring are rusted, or the pump shaft is severely bent.
Exclusion: Relax the filling material and dredge the water channel; Disassemble the pump body to remove debris and rust; Remove the pump shaft for calibration or replace it with a new one.
3. The heating bearing of the water pump is damaged: the clearance between the rolling bearing or bracket cover is too small; The pump shaft is bent or the two shafts are not concentric; The tape is too tight; Lack of oil or poor oil quality; The balance hole on the impeller is blocked, causing the impeller to lose balance and increasing the thrust to one side.
Exclusion: Replace bearings; Remove the rear cover and install a gasket between the bracket and the bearing seat; Adjust the pump shaft or adjust the concentricity of the two shafts; Adjust the tightness of the tape appropriately; Add clean butter, which accounts for 60% of the clearance in the bearing; Remove any blockages from the balance hole.
4. Insufficient flow after startup: Improper speed matching or belt slipping, resulting in low speed; The blade installation angle of Axial-flow pump is too small; Insufficient lift; High suction head; Local blockage or impeller defect of the bottom valve, pipeline, and impeller; The water outlet pipe has severe leakage.
Troubleshooting: Restore the rated speed, remove belt oil stains, and adjust the belt tension; Adjust the blade angle and lower the installation position of the water pump; Seal the leakage area of the water pump and tighten the packing; Remove blockages and replace impellers; Replace the leak reducing ring and block the leaking area.
